The Family ADR Case Manager position is located in the Multi-Door Dispute Resolution Division within the Superior Court. The incumbent is responsible for managing a caseload of truancy, child abuse and neglect, contested divorce, and other family-related issues referred by Family Court to mediation, and supervising mediation sessions. Family case issues may involve custody, visitation, child support, spousal support, and the dissolution of marital property (assets and liabilities).
Duties
The Family ADR Case Manager will be required to supervise mediations at least one Saturday a month and one evening per week as required.
Requirements
- Background and security investigation are required.
- A probationary period of one (1) year must be successfully completed.
Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications: A high school diploma plus six (6) years of case management experience including coordinating, managing, and/or tracking cases in a court, legal, or social service agency or office environment. Forty hours of basic mediation training is preferred.
Knowledge of child protection and family mediation practices, procedures, techniques, and ethics.
Knowledge of family and juvenile law and how it may affect truancy, custody, visitation, divorce, and child protection mediation.
Knowledge of judicial systems and procedures, specifically Family Court.
