You will serve as a MANAGEMENT & PROGRAM ANALYST in the COMPLIANCE AND STRATEGIC ANALYSIS BRANCH, COMPLIANCE AND STRATEGIC ANALYSIS DIVISION, SUPPLY DEPARTMENT of PORTSMOUTH NAVAL SHIPYARD.

Duties

You will serve as staff analyst, evaluator, and/or advisor to management on the effectiveness and efficiency with which the Shipyard and Supply Department executes material logistical support. You will provide managers with objectively based information for making decisions on the administrative and programmatic aspects of the Supply Department operations and management. You will develop and maintain assorted types of metrics and gathers diversified information for data calls both internally and externally. You will be responsible for all assigned work pertaining to the execution of the Compliance and Strategic Analysis (CASA) functions (i.e. management, logistics, and budgetary functions).

Requirements

  • You will be required to obtain and maintain an interim and/or final security clearance prior to entrance on duty. Failure to obtain and maintain the required level of clearance may result in the withdrawal of a job offer or removal.
  • You will be required to wear personal protective equipment such as helmets, gloves, coveralls, glasses, goggles, respirators, and safety shoes continuously for the duration of the work shift.
  • This position is subject to work an uncommon tour, including nights, weekends, and holidays to meet mission requirements. Overtime or night differential pay and/or unusual duty hours may be required.
  • This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.

Qualifications

GS-11 Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-09 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: Experience using metrics to determine program effectiveness and efficiency. Experience analyzing and evaluating workflow performance data. Experience managing and reconciling inventories and forecasting material needs for project shops and departments. Experience identifying discrepancies and providing recommendations for corrective action. Experience ensuring work is being performed in an orderly manner within time and budget constraints. Experience conducting follow-ups for actionable items identified in assigned programs. GS-09 Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-07 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: Experience reconciling inventories and forecasting material needs for project shops and departments. Experience analyzing and developing recommendations for improving in supply program operations and objectives. Experience identifying discrepancies and providing recommendations for corrective action. Experience ensuring work is being performed in an orderly manner within time and budget constraints.
