About the Position:
This position is located with the Department of Defense Education Activity (DoDEA), in the Education Directorate, in Alexandria, VA.
Duties
Plan, develop, and execute the administrative management support for the Chief Academic Officer (CAO).
Oversee programs that consist of a variety of administrative functions.
Conduct interviews to gather information and formulate procedures and strategies for the team.
Establish internal control procedures to secure adequate control in terms of deadlines, progress reports, and directives.
Coordinate and schedule meetings, events, and conferences.
Prepare and present information briefings requiring the development of written analyses, requirements documentation, plans, and reports explaining technical and operational issues.
Requirements
- Male applicants born after December 31, 1959, must complete a Pre-Employment Certification Statement for Selective Service Requirement.

- One-year probationary period may be required.
- Appointment subject to a suitability/fitness determination, as determined by a background investigation.

Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes analyzing administrative processes or procedures in order to formulate recommendations for improvement or efficiencies, maintaining records or files in accordance with established procedures, creating a variety of documents such as briefings, standard operating procedures, spreadsheets, etc, and responding to inquiries both verbally and in writing from senior level or high-ranking personnel. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-11).
