You will serve as a PROGRAM ANALYST in the Education and Training code (M7) of BUREAU OF MEDICINE AND SURGERY.
Duties
You will independently research, review, and analyze education and training issues with actual or potential impact to Navy Medicine operations.
You will be responsible for analyzing and synthesizing study data to assist and inform key personnel within BUMED M7 to formulate and finalize program management and execution decision recommendations.
You will participate in short- and long-range planning for special projects.
You will conduct research and perform analysis to develop and justify education and training response proposals.
You will assist in development of Navy Medicine policy and code's metric development.
You will attend conferences, workshops, and meetings convened within the headquarters, other appropriate military centers or civilian agencies (local, state, and/or federal agencies) as a representative.
You will serve on a multidisciplinary team responsible for education and training policy evaluation, creation and review.
You will prepare, brief, and deliver thoroughly researched and coordinated staff work for a variety of audiences including fellow code staff members and BUMED leadership at levels III, II, and I.
Requirements

- In accordance with BUMEDINST 6220.9B, all personnel who may come in contact with patients must receive and maintain appropriate vaccination on an annual basis against seasonal influenza.
Qualifications
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-11 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following:
Experience researching, analyzing, developing, and evaluating Medicine, Education and Training policy and program proposals to help decision makers to quickly understand relevant issues and make timely decisions;
Experience working with medicine education and training programs, organizations, missions and functions to formulate and develop short- and long-term requirements;
Experience working with medicine headquarters staff and responsibilities, completing staff action officer administrative duties, and independently preparing and coordinating action officer staff work;
Experience working with health system policies, directives, and regulations in order to synthesize and prepare education and training policy proposals;
Experience working with software applications (e.g. word processing, spreadsheet, database, and graphical display) in order to develop and conduct analyses, and to present findings and recommendations; and
Experience communicating effectively with local and higher headquarters staff leadership both orally and in writing.
