Job opening: UTILITIES ANALYST

Salary: $49 025 - 77 955 per year

You will serve as a UTILITIES ANALYST in the UTILITIES BILLING BRANCH of NAV FACILITIES ENGINEERING COMMAND SE.

Duties

You will review study results to correct trends in operations (e.g., performance, production, quality, resource allocation). You will analyze data to make business decisions. You will perform database queries to retrieve staffing and command resource data. You will use analytical and evaluative methods and techniques for assessing program development or execution.

Requirements

  • Must be a US Citizen.
  • Must be determined suitable for federal employment.
  • Must participate in the direct deposit pay program.

Qualifications

For GS-09: Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-07 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: 1) Utilizing database tools and functions to perform queries, analyze data, generate reports, and consolidate information; 2) Managing billing systems to verify and analyze purchase, production, and consumption of utilities; 3) Coordinating with customers and technical staff to perform quality control and compliance. NOTE: YOUR ANSWER MUST BE FULLY SUPPORTED BY THE EXPERIENCE DESCRIBED IN YOUR RESUME. For GS-07: Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-05 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: 1) Using database tools to analyze data, generate reports, and consolidate information under direct supervision; 2) Using billing systems to track and analyze facilities utilities records; 3) Responding to customer and management inquiries. Education

In lieu of specialized experience, you may qualify with the following education or combination of both education and experience:

For GS-09: master's or equivalent graduate degree or
2 full years of progressively higher-level graduate education leading to such a degree.

or

LL.B. or J.D., if related

For GS-07: 1 full year of graduate level education

or

superior academic achievement
