You will serve as a SUPERVISORY SECURITY SPECIALIST in the SECURITY SUPPORT DIVISION, SECURITY DEPARTMENT of NAVAIRWARCENWPNDIV CHINA LAKE.
Duties
You will maintain staff by recruiting, selecting, orienting, and training employees; developing personal growth opportunities; and providing leadership and supervision.
You will maintain a safe and healthy work environment by establishing and enforcing organization standards; adhering to legal regulations.
You will establish priorities and coordinate work across projects, programs or people, and effectively balance work demands while anticipating and overcoming difficult obstacles to achieve a timely and positive outcome.
You will oversee workforce security training program.
You will assess threats, hazards to command activity, and recommend controls to reduce or eliminate unnecessary risks through the proper posturing of command resources.
Requirements

- You will be required to obtain and maintain an interim and/or final security clearance prior to entrance on duty. Failure to obtain and maintain the required level of clearance may result in the withdrawal of a job offer or removal.
- Successful completion of a pre-employment drug test (including marijuana) is required. A tentative offer of employment will be rescinded if you fail to report to the drug test appointment or fail the test. You will be subject to random testing.
- Supervisors in the executive branch have a heightened personal responsibility for advancing government ethics. You will be required to review the 14 General Principles of Ethical Conduct at 5 CFR 2635.101.
- This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.
- MSP/PPP applicants must currently hold the required security clearance.
Qualifications
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the NM-03 pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate duties related to the following: 1) Applying knowledge of security policies and procedures for the proper protection, handling and marking of controlled unclassified information (CUI) and classified information; 2) Managing and leading a team; 3) Establishing priorities and coordinating work across projects while maintaining an effective work balance; 4) Demonstrating communication skills through briefing leadership and working with multiple programs; 5) Maintaining organization in a multifaceted and physically dispersed workforce.
