You will serve as a PROGRAM ANALYST in the Amphibious Assault and Connectors Program Office (PMS 317) of PROGRAM EXECUTIVE OFFICE SHIPS.
Duties
You will assist the Landing Craft Utility (LCU) Assistant Program Manager in Detail Design and Construction of the LCU 1700 Class, life cycle support and disposition of the LCU 1610 Class, and the Fleet transition efforts between the two Classes.
You will develop strategies, objectives, plans, procedures and directives to manage and report on acquisition and life cycle elements of Landing Craft Utility (LCU).
You will analyze and evaluate the progress of program initiatives, ensuring sufficient resources for conformance with NAVSEA requirements and plans.
You will monitor contractual problems during acquisition, design and construction of ships and associated material and services.
You will develop or coordinate development of program purchase requests, proposals, and participate in negotiations and source selections.
You will maintain close contact with program participants internal and external to the program office to ensure lines of communication are maintained between all program stakeholders
You will Initiate, participate in, and chair, meetings and conferences with Navy, shipbuilder and other contractor personnel to provide and direct program actions and resolve inconsistencies that arise during construction.

- This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.
- This position is covered under the Defense Acquisition Workforce Improvement Act (DAWIA). Certification in the Acquisition Functional Area and category assigned to the position is required within established category timeframes.
Qualifications
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the NH-02 pay band (or GS-11 equivalency) in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector analyzing or executing acquisition activities (e.g., contracts, resources, scheduling, studies, etc.) for the construction, modernization, or in-service support of a ship program.
