About the Position: This vacancy exists within the office of the PEO CS&CSS. Positions will be specifically located in the PEO CS&CSS, Staff. However, the referral list generated by this announcement may be used to fill future vacancies in the PEO CS&CSS & PEO GCS, with duty location at Warren, MI and/or Selfridge, MI.
Duties
Serves as Assistant Program Manager responsible for managing new and existing systems for Foreign Military Systems programs through advanced development, production and fielding.
Exercises management control of all functional inputs to the program.
Directs effective utilization of project resources.
Develops and establishes the controls necessary to manage internal operations, matrix support and the support of other command and agencies.
Maintains a continuous up to date cognizance of all aspects of project(s).
Evaluates pertinent data from points of contact to provide ready, accurate and complete response to inquiries on the status of all assigned programs from Congress.
Oversees coordination between assigned program(s) and other systems.
Coordinates system development plans, system product improvement plans and establishes design development objectives with users to ensure system aspects and capabilities are in consonance with user requirements.
Attends high level conference and meetings with representatives of DoD, DA, AMC and other commands and agencies.
Requirements
- Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
- Must be able to obtain and maintain a determination of eligibility for a Secret security clearance for the duration of employment.
- This position requires you to submit a Confidential Financial Disclosure Report (OGE450) upon entry, and annually thereafter.
- This position has a Temporary Duty (TDY) or business travel away from your permanent duty station requirement of up to 25% of the time.
- This is an Army Acquisition, Logistics and Technology Workforce position.
- Selectee must meet position requirements for practitioner certification in (A) Program Management within 60 months as of entrance on duty.
- Position is designated Security Cooperation Workforce and must comply with conditions of employment outlined in the interim Implementation Guidelines for the DoD Security Cooperation Workforce Certification Program 2.0, November 6, 2023.
- Incumbent must complete certification-related training requirements in the SC Area of Concentration (AoC) within the timeframe associated with the position's SCW certification level.

SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE: In order to qualify based on experience, your resume must describe one year of specialized experience at the NH-02 level in the Federal Service that includes the ability to: (1) Managing new systems development, production and fielding; (2) Directing a acquisition program to ensure cost/schedule/performance goals are met; (4) Evaluating the work of personnel from contractors and other supporting activities to approve, disapprove or modify data (i.e. reports, drawings, specification, configuration changes, etc.); and (5) Providing advice, and/or assistance to senior PM personnel on any products assigned (such as resources, budget revisions, project milestones, financial objectives, etc.).
The definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service NH-02 (or GS-11 equivalent).
