You will serve as a PRODUCTION BUSINESS RESOURCE COORDINATOR in the Production Resources Administrative Branch (Code 900A) within the Production Resources Workforce Division (900R) in the Production Resources Department (Code 900) of PEARL HARBOR NSY AND IMF.

Duties

You will plan, determine, and coordinate business services required to support the Production Department. You will conduct studies that involve recommending changes to organizational and staffing structures; developing workload and manpower projections; coordinating improvements to operational and work process problems and initiatives. You will perform program analysis of collected data, recognize weakness in processes, and assist in formulating and recommending meaningful solutions that results in positive impact and overall improvements for the Department. You will prepare travel requests using the Defense Travel System (DTS) for CONUS/OCONUS travel for the Production Resources Department. You will advise travelers of proper travel entitlements and requirements for Temporary Duty (TDY) assignments and resolves travel issues or discrepancies. You will interpret or incorporate current travel advisories, travel regulations, and local policies and practices to ensure conformity with appropriate travel entitlements and authorized expense You will be responsible for the technical review of supporting documents to ensure the request for personnel actions (RPA) documents include all required data to process action (i.e. appropriate remarks, resumes, position descriptions (PD), etc.). You will assist with creating written products including white papers, organizational charts, workflow matrices, position descriptions and reports. You will serve as liaison for the Department and interface with the Human Resources Office (HRO) and the Office of Civilian Human Resources (OCHR) for processing simple and recurring personnel actions (i.e. career ladder promotions, etc.). You will be responsible for the annual review of Department directives, memos, instructions, etc. to ensure alignment with Record keeping guidance and requirements. You will recommend proper policy solution/options to resolve travel, production and/or administration problems and human capital initiatives.

  • You will be required to obtain and maintain an interim and/or final secret security clearance prior to entrance on duty. Failure to obtain and maintain the required level of clearance may result in the withdrawal of a job offer or removal.
  • You will be required to wear personal protective equipment such as helmets, gloves, coveralls, glasses, goggles, respirators and safety shoes intermittently during the work shift.
  • Work is performed in areas where potentially harmful physical and chemical agents are present (e.g. fumes, dust, heat, ionizing and non-ionizing radiation and chemicals). You may be required to participate in medical surveillance programs.
  • This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.
  • This position requires regular visits to industrial work areas in shops, piers, dry docks, and onboard ships and submarines. Walking, bending, climbing, crawling, and some lifting and carrying of light items is required.

Qualifications

Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-07 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: researching and coordinating information for industrial production programs (e.g., workload, manpower, workforce development/improvement, management controls, production planning, travel requests); analyzing and generating reports to identify inefficiencies or weaknesses and recommend corrective actions. Education

In lieu of specialized experience, you may qualify for the GS-09 Grade Level with the following education or combination of both education and experience:

Successful completion of a master's or equivalent graduate degree.

OR

Successful completion of two full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to a master's degree.

OR

A combination of experience and graduate education as described above that equates to one year of experience.
