You will serve as a INDUSTRIAL MANAGEMENT MANAGER in the SURFACE SHIP OPERATIONS- C103, CLASS TEAM DIVISION of PEARL HARBOR NSY AND IMF.
Duties
You will assign work to subordinates based on priorities, selective consideration of the difficulty and the requirements of the assignments and capabilities of the employees.
You will assist in determining priorities of work to be accomplished on a daily basis to satisfy the requirements of the Hawaii Regional Maintenance Center (HRMC) and other PHNSY/IMF departments, and the ships and other customers.
You will be a HRMC Planning Floor Class Team Leader (CTL), serving as the surface ship maintenance expert to participate in process environment initiatives.
You will manage HRMC?s planning floor and all efforts associated with creating availability work specifications.
You will direct the review of specifications by the MT and other responsible parties to ensure required level of Quality Assurance is incorporated.
You will assists MTs with development of the Maintenance and Modernization Business Plan (MMBP), fiscal priorities and financial oversight and control.
You will perform a continuous review of the effectiveness of roles and relationships of Team members, and recommend changes to the MT make-up to positively impact both cost savings and ship material readiness.

- This position is covered under the Defense Acquisition Workforce Improvement Act (DAWIA). Certification in the Acquisition Functional Area and category assigned to the position is required within established category timeframes.
- This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.
- You will be required to perform occasional sea duty.
- Supervisors in the executive branch have a heightened personal responsibility for advancing government ethics. You will be required to review the 14 General Principles of Ethical Conduct at 5 CFR 2635.101.
- You will be required to complete ethics orientation within three months of appointment and submit a Confidential Financial Disclosure Report, OGE-450, within 30 days of appointment.
Qualifications
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-13 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: overseeing the planning, budgeting, and executing of a ship maintenance and modernization programs to ensure material condition readiness and supply system essential to maintaining operational readiness.
