About the Position: Incumbent is responsible for the compliance, implementation, auditing, monitoring and reporting for the National Environmental Policy Act (NEPA) and integration of other environmental programs into planning, for the Directorate of Public Works (DPW), Environmental Programs Division and Compliance Management Branch.

Duties

Plan, develop, implement, and manage environmental projects and programs. Accomplish environmental goals, mitigate risks, and provide technical advice and assistance. Advise or develop environmental policy, guidance, or strategies. Develop and review environmental reports, plans, specifications, permit applications, time schedules, statements of work, and cost estimates. Ensure compliance with laws/regulations, Executive Orders, and policies regarding the management of solid waste, hazardous waste, water quality, air emissions, environmental restoration, spill prevention, and natural/cultural resources. Determine, interpret, and negotiate requirements (e.g., permit conditions, cleanup levels) with local, state, and Federal regulatory agencies.
