About the Position: The installation rests in the beautiful 'hill and lake' country of Central Texas between Killeen and Copperas Cove and is approximately 60 miles north of the capital city of Austin, 50 miles south of Waco, 160 miles south of Dallas, and 150 miles north of San Antonio.

Duties

Serves as the Supervisory Environmental Protection Specialist in the Environmental Management Branch within the Environmental Division. Supervises program implementation designed to achieve, maintain, or exceed compliance with federal, state and local environmental laws and regulations and a variety of environmental programs. Oversees implementation of Team responsibilities of the Environmental Management System (EMS). Provides technical guidance on all assigned environmental matters to subinstallations. Supervises and provides technical oversight for professional and technical personnel engaged in the accomplishment of assigned programs. Coordinates and supervises highly technical and politically complex environmental program areas.
