About the Position: This position is assigned to U.S. Army Recruiting Command (USAREC), Brigade Headquarters (BDE HQs), Market and Mission Analysis Division, S-2. This is a Permanent position.

Duties

Serves as advisor to Brigade Commander (CDR) and Command Group on operational-level market research, data collection, and information synthesis. Identifies market trends and/ or problem areas to develop proposals for solution. Solicits, collects, and/or extracts data and information of market intelligence value from a variety of organizations. Utilizes Army and USAREC standard software to compile data for market analysis. Identifies potential changes in procedures for the effectiveness of the recruiting mission. Analyzes and recommends distribution and allocation of Brigade resources to achieve all assigned recruiting missions.

Requirements

  • Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
  • The employee must obtain and maintain a Secret security clearance and access.
  • This position requires that the employee occasionally travel away from the normal duty station up to 25% of the time.

Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes: Gathering data to provide recommendations for the distributions of allocations to achieve mission success; Utilizing statistical techniques to perform data collection; Operating automated systems to create statistical documents such as reports, charts, graphs to brief to leadership on results of studies; Applying policies to conduct economic market analysis. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the second lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-09). OR Education: Ph.D or equivalent doctoral degree or 3 full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degree in a field which demonstrates the knowledge, skills, and abilities necessary to do the work of the position, such as: Business Analytics, Public Administration. OR Combination of Education and Experience: A combination of education and experience may be used to qualify for this position as long as the computed percentage of the requirements is at least 100%. To compute the percentage of the requirements, divide your total months of experience by 12. Then divide the total number of completed graduate semester hours (or equivalent) beyond the second year (total graduate semester hours minus 36) by 18.
