About the Position: This position is located with the US Army Cadet Command, 4th Brigade Headquarters JROTC located Fort Bragg, NC.
Duties
Serve as Lead Education and Training Technician and principal staff advisor to JROTC Chief on the management and administration of JROTC/National Defense Cadet Corps (NDCC) programs.
Instruct employees in specific tasks and job techniques for planning work to be accomplished, setting priorities and establishing schedules for work completion.
Provide annual in-service training and workshops to JROTC/ National Defense Cadet Corps (NDCC) instructors and design training to include current agency and JROTC policies and issues.
Responsible for the development and execution of JROTC training and recruiting programs.
Responsible for gathering, identifying and analyzing recruiting program issues ensuring that programs function effectively and effectively make recommendations to correct deficient program issues.
Develop, implement and execute a system for preparing tracking, publishing, and distributing these annual inspection reports.
Coordinate with higher headquarters to ensure all required resources are recovered.
Provide sound advice on subject such as recruiting, retention, and incentives management.
Requirements

- This position has a Temporary Duty (TDY) or business travel requirement of up to 50% of the time
- This position requires the incumbent be able to obtain and maintain a determination of eligibility for a Basic security clearance or access for the duration of employment.

To qualify based on your experience, your resume must describe at least one year of experience which prepared you to do the work in this job. Specialized experience is defined as work that involves serving as the Lead Education and Training Technician which includes: Providing support to high school level instructors responsible for educating and training cadets; Disseminating mission objectives, policies, and operating procedures for management and instructors; Coordinating requirements and perform operations/administrative functions pertaining to training activities, to include camps and competitions; Reviewing and approving all training schedules for compliance with published Program of Instruction (POI) and regulations. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-09).

Time in Grade Requirement: Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS-09).
