Be an Army Civilian - Go Army! Civilian employees serve a vital role in supporting the Army mission. You will be part of managing and providing the information technology network and business systems that the U.S. Army need to operate every day. You will serve as an IT Specialist (INFOSEC) of the Army Data and Analytics Platforms (ARDAP) by providing Agile support services for authorized customers, both in and outside DoD, including government, non-government organizations, domestic and foreign.
Duties
Acts as action officer duties within a Foreign Military Sales Case cybersecurity, Network Security, Network reliability/Availability, or IT policy or Plans initiatives.
Implements standard operating procedures, software, controls promoting awareness of security issues among management and ensures sound security principles are part of the organizations vision and goals
Serves as the Information Systems Security Manager to provide the required Network Defense-In-Depth for Foreign military sales and its customers.
Requirements
- Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
- Male applicants born after December 31, 1959, must complete a Pre-Employment Certification Statement for Selective Service Registration.
- One year trial/probationary period may be required.
- You will be required to provide proof of U.S. Citizenship.
- This is an Army Acquisition, Logistics and Technology Workforce position.
- Selectees must meet position requirements for certification at Level II Practitioner in the Acquisition Career Field Engineering and Technical Management within 60 months of entrance on duty.
- Must be able to obtain and maintain a determination of eligibility for a Secret security clearance for the duration of employment.
- Financial Disclosure Statement OGE Form 450 is required on pre-employment and annually thereafter.
- Must obtain certification under DoD Directive 8570.1-M, "Information Assurance Training Level III, Certification, and Workforce Management within 6 months of employment.

In order to qualify, you must meet the experience requirements described below. To qualify based on your experience, you must have IT-related experience demonstrating each of the four competencies:

AND
SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE: In order to qualify for this position based on experience your resume must describe one year of specialized experience equivalent to the NH-02 (GS-11) grade level in the Federal service which includes:(1) Experience applying security controls to safeguard IT products on prem and on the cloud to prevent cyber vulnerabilities; (2) Applying analytical reasoning, evaluation, and communication skills to define and documented requirements and specifications needed to meet objectives and program mission; (3) Implementing DevSecOps pipelines for large scale IT environments with a focus on automated security testing; AND (4) Evaluating new technology to strengthen a programs cyber posture.
This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (NH-02) or GS-11.
Education
Some federal jobs allow you to substitute your education for the required experience in order to qualify. For this job, you must meet the qualification requirement using experience alone-no substitution of education for experience is permitted.
