You will serve as a Secretary (OA) in the Administrative Department of SURFCOMSYSTRNCMD SAN DIEGO.
Duties
You will file correspondence to maintain the office filing system.
You will compose documents (e.g., reports, messages, letters, correspondence) in accordance with the organization's procedures.
You will greet visitors and callers and route to proper sources to resolve their inquiries.
You will respond orally to inquiries or requests for information.
You will compose emails, letters, memoranda or reports in preliminary form for management approval.
You will schedule conferences, meetings, social events, and travel arrangements as needed.
Requirements

- Must be determined suitable for federal employment.

Qualifications
This position requires the ability to type at least 40 words per minute. Your response to the typing skill question on the Occupational Questionnaire will be used in your qualification determination.
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-06 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: 1) Utilizing office automation software, including Microsoft Office, to create correspondence, generate reports, and develop spreadsheets; 2) Providing support with leave and travel requests; and 3) Managing general administrative duties, including managing files and records, scheduling calendars and appointments, and handling all official calls and visitors.
