You will serve as a SECRETARY (OA) in the EXECUTIVE DEPARTMENT of SURFCOMSYSTRNCMD SAN DIEGO.
Duties
You will file correspondence to maintain the office filing system.
You will compose documents (e.g., reports, messages, letters, correspondence) in accordance with the organizations procedures.
You will greet visitors and callers and route to proper sources to resolve their inquiries.
You will arrange complete travel arrangements and prepare/process travel vouchers utilizing Defense Travel System.
You will respond orally to inquiries or requests for information.
You will compose emails, letters, memoranda or reports in preliminary form for management approval.
Requirements
- Must be a US Citizen.
- Must be determined suitable for federal employment.

Qualifications
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-06 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: 1) Utilizing office automation software, such as Microsoft Office, to generate correspondence, reports, and spreadsheets in accordance with organizational guidelines and policies; 2) Assisting with preparing leave and/or travel requests; 3) Managing general administrative office duties of maintaining files and records, in addition to calendars and appointments, and receiving all official calls and visitors; and 4) Displaying excellent interpersonal and communication skills to receive and relay information accurately.
