Duties

This position is part of the DoD, Department of Defense . The incumbent will be responsible for advising the Missile Defense Agency (MDA) leadership on all matters related to acquisition of program requirements across the Missile Defense System. As a Program Analyst at the NH-0343-4 some of your typical work assignments may include: Serves as the Directorate of Acquisition (DA) Chief of Staff, responsible for the enterprise operations and coordination of functional activities within the Missile Defense Agency. Lead all internal and external actions for the Acquisition Directorate. Ensure the Office of the Chief of Staff remains the lead and a key executing agent for many key actions and events within the Acquisition organization. Execute regular, effective communication in the hybrid telework environment to ensure seamless execution of operations for both the Leadership team and acquisition workforce. Ensure program status, technical issues, and on-going activities remain aligned with projections and plans. Provide situational awareness, identify conflicts and potential problem areas, and recommend corrective action to the Director of Acquisition. Lead personnel within the Chief of Staff Office and Acquisition Front Office. Participate in/lead various special projects within the purview of the Director of Acquisition. Provide quality and timely responses to all external/internal taskers.

Qualifications

You may qualify at the NH-04 broadband level if you fulfill the following qualifications: A. One year of specialized experience equivalent to the NH-03/GS-13 grade level in the Federal service: Experience applying procedures, requirements, regulations, and policies related to specialized expertise in the work of acquisition, including the ability to maintain credibility with others on acquisition matters. OR Experience utilizing oral and written communication skills to accomplish program requirements and represent organizations at meetings with Agency Executive officials, other military departments, other Federal agencies and private industry. OR Experience using interpersonal relations to network and build relationships across the entire enterprise to include representatives of industry, senior civilians, military representatives, as well as social, ethnic, and political organizations to discuss acquisition requirements and other business with agency equities. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community, student, social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience.

Substitution of education may not be used in lieu of specialized experience for this grade level.
