About the Position: Serve as Security Specialist under the supervision of the Director, Resource Management Division, Office of the Chief of Public Affairs. Responsible for providing a variety of security and administrative services essential to the direction and efficient operation of the organization. Located in Arlington, VA.

Duties

Conduct basic security orientations for assigned personnel, periodic refresher briefings, and debriefings. Develop and implement physical security/crime prevention programs. Identify and review user requests for Information Technology (IT) and software. Handle personnel security briefings for personnel traveling to countries where security is of concern to ensure they receive mandatory security briefings.

Requirements

  • Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
  • Incumbent must be able to lift up to 50lbs.
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain a Secret security clearance.
  • One year trial/probationary period may be required.
  • You may be expected to travel up to 10% for this position.

This specialized experience is equivalent to the GS-11 grade level in the Federal service. You will be evaluated on the basis of your level of competency in the following areas: CommunicationsInformation SecurityPersonnel SecurityPhysical Security Time in Grade Requirement: Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS-11).
