About the Position: The Incumbent serves as a technical expert responsible for executing the DACID's Special Agent Accreditation, Suitability, Badge and Credential Program, and Hall of Fame and Recognition Program.
Duties
Serves as the Records custodian for the Special Agent Accreditation and Suitability Files according to regulatory guidance and is responsible for initiating, maintaining, and properly disposing of documents within the files.
Develops and maintains records of accreditation status and the revocation of accreditation for special agents.
Analyzes and evaluates the accreditation and suitability process to ensure adaptability and flexibility to support the U.S. Army mission and its vision.
Develops and revises guidance, policies, procedures, and regulations that establish standards for suitability, and accreditation of investigative personnel assigned to the DACID.
Issues, maintains strict accountability, and executes the acquisition process for law enforcement sensitive items such as badges and credentials.
Serves as the trusted agent for releasing information from agent files and updates information in the agent database.
Requirements
- Temporary Duty (TDY) business travel is required approximately 10% of the time.
- Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.

Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes: developing and maintaining records of law enforcement accreditation statuses and the revocation of accreditation for special programs; developing and revising guidance, policies, procedures, and regulations that establish standards for accreditation and elimination of investigative personnel assigned to an organization.
This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-12).

Time in Grade Requirement: Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS-12). Applicants must meet all eligibility requirements and minimum qualification requirements prescribed by OPM within 30 days of the closing date of the announcement.
