About the Position: The incumbent works under the direct supervision of the Director, Training Development Division (TDD) and assistance and instruction of the Lead Training Specialist, TDD who assigns work in the form of general instructions on behalf of the Director based on the Leader Training Brigade's (LTB's) and the U.S. Army Center for Initial Military Training (USACIMT) mission.
Duties
Serves as a Training Specialist, responsible for the analysis, design, and development phase of the Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation and Evaluation Process of training materials.
Analyzes new requirements, and taskings that are potential training issues and recommends appropriate actions to the Lead Training Specialist, Director, Course Manager and Instructors.
Ensures that all training product development aligns with proponent training strategy, doctrine, field manuals, applicable regulations, and is in accordance with Army Learning Policy and Systems processes.
Ensures training and training products are performance-based and current, designed based on approved critical tasks list which enables students to be able to perform to task performance-based standards.

Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes developing courseware in the areas of practical exercises, course management plans and student assessments; reviewing internal and external course assessments and reports; and implementing curriculum changes as policies and guidance are updated. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the second lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-09) or equivalent.

EDUCATION: Ph.D. or equivalent doctoral degree or 3 full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degree. NOTE: You must submit a copy of official transcripts.

COMBINATION OF EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE: A combination of education and experience may be used to qualify for this position as long as the computed percentage of the requirements is at least 100 percent. NOTE: You must submit a copy of official transcripts.
Time in Grade Requirement: Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS-09).
Education
FOREIGN EDUCATION: If you are using education completed in foreign colleges or universities to meet the qualification requirements, you must show the education credentials have been evaluated by a private organization that specializes in interpretation of foreign education programs and such education has been deemed equivalent to that gained in an accredited U.S. education program; or full credit has been given for the courses at a U.S. accredited college or university.
