About the Position: This is a Permanent Supervisory Training Instructor (Primary Instructor) position with the US Army Training and Doctrine Command's Master Resilience School located at Fort Jackson, South Carolina

Duties
Serves as the Primary Instructor, Assistant Primary Instructor, and Facilitator as required in the MRTC.
Selects and uses the most appropriate teaching techniques and educational devices deemed most effective.
Prepares, administers, and grades quizzes and tests and evaluates daily work of the students.
Applies extensive education and experience in positive psychology, cognitive behavioral principles and behavioral change applications.
Performs professional level duties in the development, revision, evaluation, and presentation of subjects in positive psychology.
Provides guidance and training as well as assigns and distributes workload/tasks to subordinates. Monitors section workload/tasks and ensures timely completion and accuracy.
Prepares annual appraisal for subordinates IAW rating scheme. Reviews and ensures timely completion of designated responsibilities and assigned tasks.
Requirements
- Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
- Must have completed the Master Resilience Training (MRT) Course (Level 1 and Level 2) and acquired Level 1 and Level 2 certification.
- Attend and successfully complete MRT Assistant Primary Instructor Course (Level 3) and acquire Level 3 certification. Course must be completed NLT 12 months from the hire date.
- Attend and successfully complete MRT Primary Instructor Course (Level 4) and acquire Level 4 certification. Course must be completed NLT 12 months from the hire date.
- Temporary Duty Travel (TDY) may be required up to 30% of the time.
- Complete the Supervisor Development Course within 90 days.

This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-11).
