You will serve as a SUPERVISORY QUALITY ASSURANCE SPECIALIST in the Director for Quality and Operational Support, Naval Ophthalmic Readiness Activity (NORA) of NAVOPHTHALSUPPTRACT VA.
Duties
You will support all operational deployment planning, manning, equipping, and logistics for all Mobile Optical Support Unit (MOSU) missions worldwide.
You will direct, coordinate, and oversee work of subordinate supervisors, team leaders and contractors.
You will design, develop, and monitor an internal quality management program.
You will recommend, develop, and implement training related programs which will lead to an understanding of quality policies, procedures, methods, statistics, and process improvements.
You will establish procedures and processes for order receiving and account establishment/dis-establishment.
Requirements

- This position is eligible for part time, substantial or ad-hoc telework at the discretion of management.
- You will be required to successfully complete a pre-appointment physical examination.
- This position is considered Key/Emergency-Essential. You will be required to provide immediate and continuing support to ensure the success of combat operations or the availability of combat-essential systems.
Qualifications
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-11 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following:
Training in optics, opticianry and fabricating optician.
Designing, developing, and monitoring internal quality management program.
Utilizing and understanding functions and procedures of lens fabrication and tinting.
Trianing in optics and opticianry as well as fabricating .
Coordinating and overseeing work of subordinates assuring equity of perfromance standards and rating techniques.
Communicating orally and in writing to provide reports on quality studies and other initiatives.
