You will serve as a SUPERVISORY SUPPLY MANAGEMENT SPECIALIST of NAVSUP FLT LOGISTICS CNTR JACKSONVILLE.

Duties

You will plan, direct, and coordinate supply operational activities that involve procurement of equipment and supplies. You will initiate actions to ensure recurring requirements are identified and executed in a manner that meets program objectives. You will perform research to plan and determine current and anticipated customer requirements and provide maximum support as needed to customers. You will provide guidance and advice on functional requirements. You will obtain policy clarification as necessary on processes that impact operations and make recommendations on new or revised local directives, policies, and instructions that involve procurement of equipment/supplies.

• This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.

Qualifications

Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the (GS-11) grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: 1) Generating reports, looking for trends and processing improvements with regards to tracking/completion of all incoming and outgoing material; 2) Performing analysis on supply systems affecting the activities within the area of responsibility; 3) Maintaining inventory control records and developing methods for achieving quality standards and supply operations goals; 4) Providing a broad range of requisitioning services, processing receipt, storage, and issue transactions; 5) Supervising the Warehouse Operations Branch consisting of material management, customer services, inventory, QA, and flight gear outfitting.
