About the Position: Serves as training specialist and advisor to the Director Plans and Operations/ Operations Division Chief with SME knowledge of operational planning, calendar management, coordination of field and sustainment visits, levels of maintenance on quartermaster and chemical equipment, utilities equipment and power generation equipment/Division.
Duties
Conduct program reviews to determine the adjustments needed in equipment, operations, methods, personnel authorizations, or assignments.
Analyze data and trends to prepare reports on training program effectiveness.
Compile data to support reporting requirements for a training program.
Develop updates to policies and regulatory guidance to keep organization informed of new changes.
Requirements
- Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
- This position requires the incumbent be able to obtain and maintain a determination of eligibility for a Secret security clearance or access for the duration of employment.
- Appointment to this position is subject to a one year probationary period unless the appointee has previously met the requirements as described in 5 CFR Part 315. While probationary the incumbent can be terminated with limited appeal rights.
- This position has a Temporary Duty (TDY) or business travel requirement of 25% of the time.

Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience that demonstrates a practical knowledge of the subject area of the position and of the methods and techniques of instruction, which includes planning, developing, and reviewing requirements for institutional training systems/processes and required training materials in the field of institutional training product development; reviewing training/course materials, aids, devices, etc., and evaluation of training results.This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-11).
