You will serve as an ELECTRICIAN in the PUBLIC WORKS DEPARTMENT of MARCORPSBARRACKS.
Duties
You will determine, arrange and place distribution panels, boxes, circuits, fittings, connections and controls, and trace hard-to-locate defects and problems.
You will run power circuits, provide electrical connections for machinery, and install motors and similar equipment, disassemble electrical equipment, clean and replace parts, renew wiring, electrical connections and insulation parts.
You will work from building plans, blueprints, wiring diagrams and electrical maintenance and repair manuals to plan and lay out the routing, placement, type, size, balance, load, continuity and proper operation of electrical lines.
You will develop and train personnel assigned to the electrical shop in safety and trade practice, continuously monitoring work site to ensure safe working conditions.
You will maintain inventory of materials used and conducts market research for restocking of materials.
Requirements
- Must be a US Citizen.
- Must be determined suitable for federal employment.
