About the Position: This position is located in San Antonio, Texas, with the Defense Health Agency.
Duties
Plans and advises RMED (Risk Management Executive Division) senior leaders on strategies and initiatives to achieve organizational goals and objectives.
Provides preparation, advice, and assistance to senior leaders, promulgates orders and guidance, and ensures the DHA and PEO MS/CIO (J-6) directives are properly executed.
Continually reviews the organization’s functional and business processes to identify methods for process and product improvement.
Provides final quality assurance review of work products such as draft directives, decision papers, issue papers, and other similar correspondence prepared for the Chief, RMED and PEO MS/CIO (J-6) signature.
Accompanies RMED leadership to meetings, conferences and other working sessions as required.
Participates in the process improvement efforts for the Chief, RMED by providing consultative advice and assistance in the areas of administration and management.
Composes routine and non-routine correspondence based on verbal guidance, personal knowledge, briefing notes, or historical correspondence.
Requirements
- Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
- This position requires the incumbent be able to obtain and maintain a determination of eligibility for a Secret security clearance or access for the duration of employment. A background investigation and credit check are required.
- One year trial/probationary period may be required.

Basic Requirements for the MANAGEMENT ANALYST, GS-0343-12:
Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes assisting with providing organizational analytical support, making recommendations regarding civilian recruitment strategies, and composing administrative documents for leadership review. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-11).
Some federal jobs allow you to substitute your education for the required experience in order to qualify. For this job, you must meet the qualification requirement using experience alone--no substitution of education for experience is permitted.
