About the Position: This position is located at the US ARMY 1ST SPECIAL FORCES COMMAND HQ, 95TH CA BDE S-3 in Fort Liberty, North Carolina.This position may be filled as a term appointment.

Duties

Serves as the Deployment Specialist in the 95th Civil Affairs Brigade (Airborne), a Component Support Unit (CSU) of 1st Special Forces Command (Airborne) (1st SFC (A)). Provides technical oversight/systems support. Coordinates movement of personnel, equipment and materiel to deployed sites. Compiles, analyzes and maintains deployment data using automated equipment. Prepares and conducts briefings.

Requirements

• Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
• This is an Emergency Essential I Civilian (EEC) position and will require incumbent to deploy occasionally to deployment base camps. Incumbent may be required to deploy to potentially high-threat OCONUS environments in which hostile action may occur.
• Incumbent may also be required to perform duties under austere conditions during exercise and real-world crisis deployment. Requires frequent extended duty with long hours under high pressure and generally high-risk job responsibilities.
• The military ACU is the duty uniform when deployed, or in field environment. Incumbent will be issued standard TA50 for use per local requirements.
• Must obtain and maintain a Secret security clearance.
• May require travel, CONUS and OCONUS, on very short notice up to 25% of the time.
• Must successfully pass a urinalysis screening prior to the appointment and periodically thereafter.
