The FBI's Information Technology Infrastructure Division (ITID) is seeking a highly qualified Information Technology Specialist (Application Packager) to manage application deployments, which includes building custom application installers or customizing vendor installers and providing support. Duties
Create, customize, and maintain software installers using tools such as InstallShield or Orca. Ensure compatibility with existing infrastructure and security policies.
Create software deployment packages using enterprise deployment applications servers: Microsoft Endpoint Configuration Manager, HCL BigFix, Microsoft Intune.
Engineer, draft, update, and modify configuration scripts (e.g., PowerShell, VBScript) to automate packaging tasks. Troubleshoot and resolve packaging-related issues. Collaborate with development teams to improve packaging processes.
Test and validate software packages to ensure proper functionality. Conduct user acceptance testing for packaged applications. Maintain documentation related to packaging standards and procedures.
Provide end user support and troubleshooting for application-related incidents and/or application installer issues.
Qualifications
Specialized Experience (SE):
GS-12: Applicant must possess at least one (1) year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-11 grade level. SE is defined as follows:
Experience in oral and written communication skills to interact with others, prepare reports, and make presentations. Ability to provide guidance and to obtain support required to carry out IT projects, goals, and initiatives.
Experience running reports and creating custom reports to monitor system health and configuration.
Experience in scripting languages (PowerShell, VBScript). Experience deploying image baselines and provisioning new hardware and providing unique, customized scripting solutions.
Experience in enterprise deployment technologies (BigFix, Microsoft Endpoint Configuration Manager, Microsoft Intune, etc.)
Experience in installing Windows operating systems, operating system hardening, Security Technical Implementation Guide (STIG) and troubleshooting registry settings.
