About the Position: This is a permanent position as a Program Services Officer with the U.S. Army CASOM , SCOE, Office of the Chief of Staff, Secretary to the General Staff, Fort Gregg-Adams, Virginia.
Duties
Provide direct assistance to the Combined Arms Support Command (CASCOM), and the Fort Gregg-Adams Command Group.
Integrate, coordinate, process, and supervise execution of command-wide staff actions.
Review and analyze all routine and non-routine materiel directed to the attention of the Command Group.
Provide and supervise administrative support. Review instructions, methods, and procedures prescribed by the Command Group.
Exercise personnel management tasks by identifying the need for military and civilian personnel action, to include develop performance plans,
rate employee(s), conduct counseling, recommend hiring, promotion, or reassignments and take disciplinary actions.
Serve as the approving/billing official for Government Purchase Card (GPC).
Serve as a Contracting Officers Representative (COR) for various contracts for which the Command Group is responsible.
Requirements
- Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
- Must obtain and maintain a SECRET clearance.
- Within 6-months of appointment, must obtain and maintain Contracting Officer’s Representative (COR) certification and is required to complete al
- associated training and or certifications per Defense Federal Acquisition Regulation (DFAR) and the Army Federal Acquisition Regulation Supplement (AFARS).
- Incumbent is required to submit a Confidential Financial Disclosure Report, OGE-450, (5CFR Part 2634, Subpart I Confidential Financial Disclosure Reports)
- upon entering the position and annually, in accordance with DoD Directive 5500-7-R, Joint Ethics Regulation, dated 17-Nov-2011.

Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes developing recommendations to resolve substantive problems; analyzing, interpreting, and assessing impacts of changing organization requirements; interacting appropriately in highly charged emotional situations; providing expert advice on military and civilian personnel administration requirements. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the second lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-11).
