The regional senior analyst will independently perform highly-complex evaluations and analyses, business process improvement and program oversight reviews, data analyses and reporting functions, studies and special projects covering the full range of regional ENF, EXAMS, Ops, and special emphasis programs within the Los Angeles regional office.

The senior analyst will have regular and recurring contacts with SEC senior staff and management in the region and with senior-level program staff in other federal agencies and private organizations, industry representatives, and the public as an active participant in conferences, meetings, hearings, events, or presentations involving problems or issues of considerable consequences.
Develops new ways to measure program accomplishments, results, and effectiveness.
Reviews programs to determine progress against long-range plans and SEC strategic goals and recommends necessary adjustments.
Supports a variety of management programs and oversight of program status and progress toward attainment of established goals such as conducting quality improvement assessments.
Uses best practices and consulting techniques to ensure customer expectations are managed/met.

- This is a promotion not-to-exceed1 year from date of appointment to the position.
- This appointment may end at any time during the course of the appointment at the discretion of management.
- Applicants should also be available for possible extension, if needed.
- If selected, you may receive a salary increase for the duration of the temporary promotion. You will be returned to your original salary at the end of the appointment.

Qualifications
All qualification requirements must be met by the closing date of this announcement.
Time-in-grade for this announcement is one year at the GS/SK-12 level.
Qualifying experience may be obtained in the private or public sector. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community, student, social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENT:
SK-13: Applicant must have at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS/SK-12 level:
Researching and analyzing administrative policies, procedures, or initiatives to meet organizational needs and accomplish program objectives;
Preparing a variety of written documents, status reports, or recommendations; and
Acting as liaison with individuals and groups both inside and outside an organization regarding administrative and/or organizational matters.
