You will serve as a Supervisory Information Technology Specialist (APPSW) with the Naval Criminal Investigative Service (NCIS.
All Naval Criminal Investigative Service (NCIS) positions are in the excepted service. This position is in the excepted service and does not confer competitive status.

Duties
You will serve as the Division Chief, Technology Delivery, responsible for providing guidance and technical direction, planning, and leading a technical staff composed of IT specialists and other information systems professionals.
You will supervise, manage and provide direction for subordinate personnel, plan work to be accomplished, set priorities and timelines, direct and review project plans and associated schedules.
You will assign work and areas of responsibility to employees based upon specified priorities, workload, difficulty of the task, and the individual capabilities of the employee.
You will act as the central point of contact for all NCIS Headquarters IT customer support tasking, problem resolution, coordination, engagement and other related IT services, and software.
You will serve as a Contracting Officer’s Representative (COR) and identify contract resources required for areas of responsibility.
You will represent the Deputy Assistant Director (DAD) for Enterprise Technologies, NCIS Code 15B, as assigned, internally and externally, in the Federal and private sectors, in special projects or other venues in area of responsibility.

Qualifications
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-13 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following:
Experience conducting review of computer technology developments applicable to assigned area of responsibility and prepares long range forecasts and recommends developmental strategies relevant to findings. Experience providing maximum technical support in assigned areas of responsibilities to the IT Specialists and acts as the central point of contact for all Headquarters tasking, problem resolution, coordination, and other related technical solutions affecting these offices. Experience performing management, oversight and direction for areas of responsibility which could include, but not be limited to telecommunications, data communications, networking and network related security processes, software engineering, to include databases and distributed software systems based on industry best standards. Experience supervising, managing and providing direction for subordinate personnel. Plans work to be accomplished, sets priorities and directs and reviews project plans and associated schedules. Assigning work to subordinates based on priorities, schedules and consideration of required skills and experience of employees. Experience collaborating, coordinating and communicating with other NCIS DBD managers (Command Information Officer, Command Data Officer, Deputy Assistant Director(s), peer Division Chiefs) to effectively and efficiently achieve greater NCIS capabilities with complex information systems.
