This position is located in the Department of Health & Human Services (HHS), Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS), Center for Program Integrity(CPI), Data Analytics and Systems Group (DASG), Division of Investigative & Business Analytics (DIBA).
As a Supervisory Health Insurance Specialist, GS-0107-15, you will lead a staff responsible for providing research, statistical and data analysis for program integrity issues in Medicaid and Medicare programs.
Duties
Direct the planning, coordinating, and overseeing of the functions related to supporting the investigative analytic needs of the center.
Assign work to subordinates based on priorities, selective consideration of the difficulty and requirements of assignments, and the capabilities of employees.
Oversee technically complex projects and initiatives designed to address HHS and CMS Strategic Plan goals and objectives related to the work of the organization.
Plan, organize, direct, coordinate, and control the resources required to assure the timely, accurate, and cost-effective accomplishment of the division’s functional responsibilities.

In order to qualify for the GS-15, you must meet the following: You must demonstrate in your resume at least one year (52 weeks) of qualifying specialized experience equivalent to the GS-14 grade level in the Federal government, obtained in either the private or public sector, to include:
Reviewing policies and guidelines to develop, evaluate, or implement operational activities in support of program integrity initiatives; AND
Leading administrative studies, projects, or assignments designed to address program vulnerabilities; AND
Analyzing quantitative or qualitative data to provide recommendations to senior or executive management; AND
Advising internal and external stakeholders on strategies to identify and prevent fraud, waste, and abuse.
Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community, student, social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience.
Time-in-Grade: To be eligible, current Federal employees must have served at least 52 weeks (one year) at the next lower grade level from the position/grade level(s) to which they are applying.
