You will serve as a Materials Handler in the Advance Traceable and Control Section of NAVSUP FLT LOGISTICS CNTR PEARL HARBOR.

Duties

You will perform warehousing tasks such as unloading, loading, stacking, palletizing etc. You will select and set up proper storage areas for material with the warehousing plan considering size, shape, quantity, use and possibility of damage or deterioration, contamination to or from other times. You will pack and protect items with standard shipping/wrapping material. You will enter required data into a database for shipping or disposal document, carcass tracking, and proof of shipment and delivery.

• Successful completion of a pre-employment drug test (including marijuana) is required. A tentative offer of employment will be rescinded if you fail to report to the drug test appointment or fail the test. You will be subject to random testing.
• This position requires occasional travel.
• This position is considered Key/Emergency-Essential. You will be required to provide immediate and continuing support to ensure the success of combat operations or the availability of combat-essential systems.

The Screen-out Element for this position is: I have the ability to perform a full range of tasks of a material handler to include experience performing a majority of the following duties with minimal supervision; receiving, issuing, handling, preparing for shipment, segregating, storing, inventorying, distributing and documenting the movement and storage of supplies, equipment and materials, in accordance with prescribed regulations; reading and preparing shipping documents; utilizing automated systems to input, update and extract data; operating automated equipment such as optical readers, scanners, computer terminals, and barcode wands to process incoming stock; Pack and protect items with standard shipping/wrapping material; select proper storage areas for material with the warehousing place considering size, shape and quantity; operating material handling equipment and motor vehicles to relocate, arrange, stack and palletize items. I work on my own initiative under general supervision subject to occasional inspection.
