You will serve as a MATERIALS HANDLER LEADER in the Asset Management Branch, Materiel Management Division, Logistics
Readiness Department of NAVSUP FLC PEARL HARBOR (647 LRS, Joint Base Pearl Harbor-Hickam, HI).
Duties
You will plan and schedule the workload needed to manage individual mobility equipment to maintain base readiness for contingencies and wartime deployments.
You will pass on to other workers the instructions received from supervisors, and get the work started, e.g., by assigning the immediate tasks to be performed by individual members of the group led.
You will determine and prioritize operations to ensure adequate personnel and equipment are available to manage customer requirements in person or via other communication means.
You will prepare recurring and non-recurring special reports that generally require on-hand balances and specific requirements.
You will prepare cost estimates to account for shortfalls, determine priorities of individual commodities, and order those requirements based on priority and funding.
You will perform tasks involved in receiving, storing, assembling, issuing, shipping, disposing, and conducting inventories of equipment.
You will evaluate overall requirements compared to on-hand balances using the Enterprise Solution-Supply Mobility (ES-S Mobility) database.
You will perform equipment custodian duties for over 530 small arms weapons and maintains equipment account with all actions regarding the receipt, storage, disposition, and issue/deployment of these weapons.
You will operate forklift trucks and automated material handling and identification equipment
Requirements
- Must be a US Citizen.
- Must be determined suitable for federal employment.

- You will be required to obtain and maintain a current valid United States driver’s license.
- You will be required to obtain and maintain a current Forklift Operator's license.
- You will be required to successfully complete a pre-appointment physical examination.
- You will be required to obtain and maintain an interim and/or final security clearance prior to entrance on duty. Failure to obtain and maintain the required level of clearance may result in the withdrawal of a job offer or removal.
- You must meet the qualifications and be certified to carry a firearm. You will need to maintain firearm proficiency.
- This position is covered by the Domestic Violence Misdemeanor Amendment (30 Sep 96) of the Gun Control Act (Lautenberg Amendment) of 1968. You will be required to sign a DD-Form-2760, Qualification to possess firearms or ammunition.
- Successful completion of a pre-employment drug test (including marijuana) is required. A tentative offer of employment will be rescinded if you fail to report to the drug test appointment or fail the test. You will be subject to random testing.
- You will be required to wear personal protective equipment such as helmets, gloves, coveralls, glasses, goggles, respirators and safety shoes continuously for the duration of the work shift.
- This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.
- This is a Mission Essential position. You will be required to ensure organization or facility continuity of operations and/or completion of tasks that are considered essential to the mission designated by a local or command decision.

This job has a screen-out element which will be used to determine minimum eligibility for this job. The Screen-out Element for this position is: I have the ability to perform the full range of tasks including: leading warehouse workers in accomplishing a range of warehouse functions such as: receiving, storing, assembling, issuing, shipping, disposing, and conducting inventories of equipment. Utilize material handling equipment i.e. forklifts. Knowledge of inventory procedures and ability to prepare inventory and production reports. Utilize accepted warehousing methods, procedures, and material handling techniques which include storage, preservation, configurations, storage documents, and hazardous material. Preparing recurring and non-recurring special reports that generally require on-hand balances and specific requirements, conducts periodic inventories of assets under control and takes necessary actions to update databases, use computer terminals, optical readers, scanners, etc., to input receipt of goods, conduct inventories, assign locations, and issues assets. I work on my own initiative under general supervision subject to occasional inspection.
