Duties

Serve as Lead Construction Control Representative and Contracting Officer's representative with responsibility for technical administration. Interpret contract plans and specifications, determines whether construction meets contract requirements, recommends changes in matters relative to adequacy of materials, equipment and workmanship. Assure that inspection is adequate and continuous throughout construction process. Provide assistance to lower graded employees regarding specific contract matters dealing with sophisticated materials, work segments, issues, etc. Determine number of periodic payments due the contractor by figuring percentage of items and materials delivered and/or installed. Review contractor’s construction schedules, shop drawings and other material submittals and recommends approval/disapproval actions.

• This position has a Temporary Duty (TDY) or business travel requirement of 5% of the time.

OR Combination of Education and Experience: A combination of education and experience may be used to qualify for this position as long as the computed percentage of the requirements is at least 100%. To compute the percentage of the requirements, divide your total months of experience by 12. Then divide the total number of completed graduate semester hours (or equivalent) beyond the second year (total graduate semesters hours minus 36) by 18. Add the two percentages.
