About the Position: Serves as principal quality assurance representative and Contracting Officer's representative with responsibility for technical administration.
Duties
Serves as principal quality assurance representative and Contracting Officer's Representative (COR) with responsibility for technical administration, inspection, control and acceptance of assigned work performed under construction contracts.
Interprets plans and specifications; determines acceptable trade techniques when alternatives are required due to a lack of specifics in the plans; recommends changes in matters relative to adequacy of equipment and labor skills.
Daily inspects materials, equipment, work methods, practices, and progress.
Verifies that material and equipment are as previously approved.
Requirements
- Applicant must obtain and maintain a favorable result from a Criminal History Background Check.
- Incumbent must obtain and maintain a valid state motor vehicle operator license to permit operation of motor vehicles in the performance of duties.

- Appointment to this position is subject to a one-year probationary period unless the appointee has previously met the requirements as described in 5 CFR Part 315.

One year of specialized experience which includes experience in work that defined as but not limited to interpreting plans and specifications AND inspecting materials and workmanship for various facility systems such as electrical and heating, ventilating and air conditioning systems to ensure adherence to contract and safety requirements. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service GS-09.
