The incumbent of this position is the Health Professions Trainee Biller and Database WOC Coordinator for the Office of the Associate Chief of Staff for Education at Nebraska Western Iowa Health Care System (NWIHCS). The Health Professions Trainee Biller and Database WOC Coordinator is under the direction and supervision of the Associate Chief of Staff (ACOS) for Education and AO for Education and will oversee billing and will be the Database WOC Coordinator for NWIHCS.
Duties
Duties for this position include but are not limited to:
Serves as the VA billing point of contact for all Health Professions Trainee programs at NWIHCS regarding payments and stipends.
Creates and maintains required Disbursement Agreements.
Works with NWIHCS Service Line Program Coordinators on the monthly billing reviews.
Creates, updates, and maintains billing spreadsheets for Health Profession Trainee Educational Activity Record Keeping ensuring that all required items are included.
Monitors Resident participation in assigned educational activities.
Create and maintain a WOC HR Smart document for each Health Professions Trainee.
Responsible for meeting the standards for documentation and reconciliation of the purchase cards.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Work Schedule: Monday - Friday, 0800am to 0430pm
Telework: VA supports the use of telework as a way to help attract and retain talented individuals in public service, increase worker productivity, and better prepare the agency to operate during emergencies. This position may be authorized for AD-HOC telework. Telework eligibility will be discussed during the interview process.

Qualifications

Time-In-Grade Requirement: Applicants who are current Federal employees and have held a GS grade any time in the past 52 weeks must also meet time-in-grade requirements by the closing date of this announcement. For a GS-06 position you must have served 52 weeks at the GS-05. The grade may have been in any occupation, but must have been held in the Federal service. An SF-50 that shows your time-in-grade eligibility must be submitted with your application materials. If the most recent SF-50 has an effective date within the past year, it may not clearly demonstrate you possess one-year time-in-grade, as required by the announcement. In this instance, you must provide an additional SF-50 that clearly demonstrates one-year time-in-grade.
You may qualify based on your experience as described below:
Specialized Experience: You must have one year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the next lower grade GS-05 in the normal line of progression for the occupation in the organization. Examples of specialized experience would typically include, but are not limited to: experience where you were responsible for providing administrative support; collecting, compiling and tracking data and information; processing documents and reports; establishing, updating and maintaining office files and records; performing automation duties using such software applications such as word processing, spreadsheet, electronic mail, desktop publishing, calendar, database and/or graphics; and providing information and customer service.
