The incumbent serves as the Assistant Director of Operations for the Oklahoma City Area Dental Support Center (OCADSC) and the Area Community Dental Program Coordinator and is responsible for assisting the Operations Director to the Dental Support Center in dental program coordination capacities for the OCA IHS Dental Services, Office of Health Care Systems. This position reports directly to the Area Dental Officer.
Duties
Screens all correspondence prepared for the Director's signature for clarity, completeness of reply and grammatical and procedural correctness using correct format, spelling and grammar.
Performs a variety of administrative tasks to ensure the efficient operation, including timekeeping, coordinating travel and arranging conferences and meetings.
Receives, screens and answers inquiries via email, telephonic, and personal visitors/guests.
Deals with classified materials and/or matters of confidentiality and sensitivity.
Serves as the main purchase cardholder for the office.
Perform complex office automation duties requiring different approaches and methods from one assignment to another.
Builds spreadsheets and databases.
Qualifications

In addition to the Basic Requirements, you must also meet the Minimum Qualifications stated below.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
Your resume must demonstrate at least one (1) year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the next lower grade level in the Federal service obtained in either the private or public sector performing the following type of work and/or tasks: Experience organizing meetings/conferences, arranging travel, preparing correspondence and reports, serving as a purchase card holder, using automated tracking systems, developing spreadsheets or databases, providing professional, clear, and concise, written and/or verbal responses to routine inquiries for information from internal and external customers, and/or referring technical matters to the appropriate Office staff member.
Time In Grade
Federal employees in the competitive service are also subject to the Time-In-Grade Requirements: Merit Promotion (status) candidates must have completed one year of service at the next lower grade level. Time-In-Grade provisions do not apply under the Excepted Service Examining Plan (ESEP).
