You will serve as a Physical Security Specialist in the Marine Forces Reserve (MARFORRES) of MARFORRES NOLA.
Duties
You will control, manage, and track all facility access badges maintaining one hundred percent accountability.
You will identify and report threats and hazards that might result in the loss of life, compromise sensitive information, disrupt the mission, damage property, destruction, and loss.
You will ensure that all personnel are screened upon joining the command for appropriate security clearances.
You will manage the command’s Key and Lock Control Program, tracking all keys that access facility portals maintaining one hundred percent accountability.
You will assist the Force Protection Officer conducting critical assessments for the command’s Critical Infrastructure Protection Program.
You will work with the Facility Protection Officer to assist in managing the Antiterrorism, Physical Security, and Emergency Management programs.
Requirements

- Must be determined suitable for federal employment.

- You will be required to obtain and maintain an interim and/or final security clearance prior to entrance on duty. Failure to obtain and maintain the required level of clearance may result in the withdrawal of a job offer or removal.
- This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.
- You will be required to complete training, obtain, and maintain a government credit card for travel and travel-related purchases.
- Temporary duty (TAD) assignments for training are required.
- Must possess a valid driver's license in order to rent a vehicle at TAD locations.
- This position is not eligible for telework.
Qualifications
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-07 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: Executing and planning policies for the employment of active and passive security measures designed to protect personnel, critical assets, and information.

Education

GS-09
master's or equivalent graduate degree
or
2 full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degree
