You will serve as a Supervisory Security Specialist in the Headquarters, Marine Forces Reserve G-3/5 located in New Orleans, LA.
Duties
You will serve as the Command Protection Officer responsible for managing, evaluating, and executing protection-related functions, including Antiterrorism, Force Protection, Physical Security, and Operations Security programs throughout the Force.
You will develop and implement Force directives, policy, and guidance, aligned to higher headquarters policy, on matters pertaining to protection and security of operations, personnel, facilities, and equipment.
You will execute the Command’s Protection assessment program, supervising the conduct of threat and vulnerability assessments at site locations across the Force.
You will analyze complex problems or interrelated issues in developing and maintaining relationships with various Joint, Service, and Command stakeholders in the Protection community.
You will supervise a group of employees, both government civilian/contractor and uniformed service members, and provide administrative and technical supervision necessary for accomplishing the work of the unit.

- This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.

Qualifications
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-13 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: applying a wide range of principles, concepts, methodology and practices related to physical security. Specialized experience must include the following 1) planning and execution of major protection activities in support of an organizational protection and security program; 2) leading or providing advice and counsel to workers related to security work and administrative matters; 3) Develop, coordinate and implement security policies for programs requiring the application of new theories and developments to physical security problems
