You will serve as a Security Manager in the Headquarters, Marine Forces Reserve and Marine Forces South in New Orleans, LA.
Duties
You will be responsible for the administration of the overall Information and Personnel Security Program inspection process for the Marine Forces Reserve and Marine Forces South.
You will resolve complaints from employees, referring group grievances and serious complaints not resolved to higher level supervisors.
You will provide guidance and assistance to subordinate commands and contractors relative to security policy and implementation.
You will be responsible for the coordination, administration and implementation of the Classification Management Program.
You will serve as the Director of the Security Management Office and Command Security Manager.

- You will be required to obtain and maintain an interim and/or final security clearance prior to entrance on duty. Failure to obtain and maintain the required level of clearance may result in the withdrawal of a job offer or removal.
- Successful completion of a pre-employment drug test (including marijuana) is required. A tentative offer of employment will be rescinded if you fail to report to the drug test appointment or fail the test. You will be subject to random testing.
- Incumbent must be certified as a DON/USMC Security Manager and maintain the required annual certifications.
- Incumbent must be trained and certified as a Physical Security Specialist and maintain the annual training and certification requirements for a credentialed Physical Security Specialist.
- Incumbent must also be trained and maintain certification as a Trusted Agent Security Manager (TASM)
- Travel will be required 25% of the time.
- You will be required to complete training, obtain, and maintain a government credit card for travel and travel-related purchases.
- This position is eligible for telework.
- Supervisors in the executive branch have a heightened personal responsibility for advancing government ethics. You will be required to review the 14 General Principles of Ethical Conduct at 5 CFR 2635.101.
Qualifications
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-12 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: Planning, developing, implementing, and evaluating information security, personnel security, industrial security, continuous evaluation, security inspections, investigations, and security education and training.
