About the Position: This is a Logistics Specialist position with the U.S. Army Space and Missile Defense Command in Fort Carson, CO. Incumbent will serve as the senior logistics expert and deputy to the 1st Space Brigade S4.

Duties
Provides guidance to organization on sustaining high levels of mission readiness and movement for deployment.
Directs the distribution and redistribution of command assets to meet changing mission requirements.
Utilizes automated logistics management systems to monitor logistics operations.
Establishes priority and deadlines for completion of work.
Requirements
- Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
- This position requires the incumbent to obtain and maintain a Top Secret security clearance.
- This is a drug testing position. Incumbent may be required to sign a DA FORM 5019-R, “Condition of Employment for certain civilian positions identified as critical under the drug abuse testing program” or a memorandum of understanding.
- This position may require travel up to 15%.
- This position requires the ability to obtain and maintain the Hazardous Material Awareness DoD certification.
- This position may require incumbent to perform travel on a worldwide basis and on short notice for extended periods of time up.
- Travel will be accomplished by commercial or military aircraft, as well as other authorized modes of transportation.

In order to qualify, you must meet the experience requirements described below. Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience equivalent to the NH-02 (GS-11) level in the Federal service which includes Evaluating property control or logistics program; AND Reviewing transactions for accuracy in logistics automated system. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (NH-02/GS-11).

Time in Grade Requirement: Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (NH-02/GS-11).
