About the Position: Serve as a Logistics Management Specialist for the Army Field Support Battalion located on Fort Carson, Colorado.
Duties
Perform multi-functional logistics planning, budget formulation, operations, supply, maintenance, doctrine, training, and administration.
Evaluate logistics doctrine, policy, plans, procedures, operations, equipment/weapons systems, and support systems with the view toward improvements.
Develop, coordinate, and implement improved logistics concepts.
Review and analyze all facets of logistics as they relate to and in support of contingency, emergency, mobilization plans, operations for the installation.
Coordinate with other activities to resolve matters which may arise during mobilization, execution and exercise activities.
Analyze and evaluate information concerning the logistics mission and make recommendations to the Chief and Director regarding possible courses of action.
Requirements
- Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
- Position requires incumbent employee to obtain and maintain a Secret Security Clearance.
- Position requires temporary duty (TDY) business travel approximately 15% of the time.

Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes: 1) developing and implementing multi-functional logistics plans related to contingency, emergency or mobilization operations; 2) analyzing logistical problems to identify solutions; and 3) evaluating logistics policies and procedures. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-11).
