Duties

You will establish strategy, policy, direction and guidance for adoption of policy and directions issued by the DON Chief Data and Analytic Officer, and DON CIO. You will ensure Navy has established a set of priorities and activities that lead to improvements in data quality and maturity of data management. You will publish new/updated guidance for Navy Identification/designation of authoritative data. You will handle highly complex, sensitive, or ambiguous challenges facing the organization.

Requirements

  • This is a Cyberspace Workforce position, work role code of Cyber Policy and Strategic Planner, proficiency level (advanced).
  • The incumbent is required to obtain and maintain qualifications in DoDM 8140.03 Cyber Workforce Qualification and Department of Navy policies.

Qualifications

Your resume must demonstrate one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the next lower grade level (GS-13) or pay band in the Federal service or equivalene one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the next lowest grade level (GS-13) or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector performing a full range technical and operational aspects of data and analytic technologies. Examples of specialized experience should include most or all the following: Working knowledge of information taxonomy creation, information visualization, information modeling and data warehousing techniques. Engaging in strategic long-term planning, coordination and implementation of data strategies to include corrective policies, standards and actions. Assisting with developing methods and/or technical solutions for communicating analysis and metrics to various audiences. Performing functional requirements analysis and business domain analysis. Presenting strategic policies to leadership, stakeholders teams and other organizations for strategic purposes and compliance results.
