You will serve as a Program Manager in the Multi-Spectral Defensive Electronic Warfare System Support Activity (MDEWSSA) of NAVAIRWARCENWPNDIV POINT MUGU.

Duties

You will serve as Integrated Product Team (IPT) Deputy. You will be responsible for cost, schedule, and technical performance for all products and services assigned in support of multiple system configurations across the full systems life cycle. You will work with the IPT Lead and Chief Engineer to establish and achieve the goals and vision of the IPT on a year-by-year basis and over a 5-10 year outlook. You will manage all IPT processes to ensure delivery of products within the required schedule, with the required performance, and of the highest quality so that the Fleet is delivered an effective and suitable product.

Requirements

  • Must be determined suitable for federal employment.

  • You will be required to obtain and maintain an interim and/or final top secret security clearance prior to entrance on duty. Failure to obtain and maintain the required level of clearance may result in the withdrawal of a job offer or removal
  • MSP/PPP applicants must currently hold the required security clearance.
  • This position is covered under the Defense Acquisition Workforce Improvement Act (DAWIA). Certification in the Acquisition Functional Area and category assigned to the position is required within established category timeframes.
  • This position is covered under Public Law 114-264, the Program Management Improvement Accountability Act (PMIAA).
  • Successful completion of a pre-employment drug test (including marijuana) is required. A tentative offer of employment will be rescinded if you fail to report to the drug test appointment or fail the test. You will be subject to random testing.
  • This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.

Qualifications

Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the DA-05 pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate some or all of the following: 1) Supporting multiple software system configurations; 2) Demonstrating knowledge of acquisition process; 3) Using systems engineering principles throughout the life cycle of products.
