You will serve as a Supervisory Interdisciplinary Engineer/Scientist in the Multi-Spectral Defensive Electromagnetic Warfare System Support Activity NAVAIRWARCENWPNDIV POINT MUGU.
Duties
You will serve as the senior systems acquisition management leader for the MDEWSSA within the Air Wing Integration and Interoperability and Electronic Warfare Effects (AWII/EWE) Product Linets.
You will ensure continuity of technical leadership needed to meet program office requirements.
You will provide direction and oversight for MDEWSSA product managers.
You will serve as the IPT’s primary programmatic interface with NAWCWD, PEOs/PMAs, NAVAIR, and other NAWCs/SYSCOMs, Navy and DoD organizations.
You will provide IPT demand signal and priorities to NAWCWD’s discipline-level technical capability (a combination of workforce talent, specialized facilities and infrastructure, as well as unique tools and techniques) across multiple Groups.

- This position is covered under the Defense Acquisition Workforce Improvement Act (DAWIA). Certification in the Acquisition Functional Area and category assigned to the position is required within established category timeframes.
- Successful completion of a pre-employment drug test (including marijuana) is required. A tentative offer of employment will be rescinded if you fail to report to the drug test appointment or fail the test. You will be subject to random testing.

- This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.
Qualifications
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to the next lower grade level (GS-13/14) or pay band (NM-04) in the federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector in order to perform the duties of a Supervisory Program Manager. Specialized experiences must include duties related to the following: (1) Utilizing Software systems; (2) Performing work related to acquisition processes; (3) Performing work utilizing system engineering principles; (4) Advising program offices on matters pertaining to technical readiness and execution of programs and projects; and (5) Providing leadership, overseeing cost, schedule, and performance responsibilities.
