As a Equal Employment Specialist (Policy and Compliance) you will serves as an EEO Specialist located within the Office of Human Resources and Administration (HR&A), Office of Resolution Management, Diversity, and Inclusion (ORMDI). The position is responsible for a wide range of functions that further the integrity, effectiveness, and impartiality of the Department's equal employment opportunity (EEO) complaint system
Duties
Identify issues with the EEO complaint process
Advise management concerning preparation and monitoring of EEO policies and procedures and settlement agreements.
Provide customer service to moderated damage to individuals, business entities, government programs or operations.
Generate reports to provide the background, current status and any identifiable trends in program areas.

Qualifications
Specialized Experience:
To qualify for this position, applicants must meet all requirements by the closing date of this announcement.
Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religions; spiritual; community; student; social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience.

To qualify, applicants must have one year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the next lower grade (GS-12) in the normal line of progression for the occupation in the organization. Specialized experience is defined as work that involves: (1) Knowledge of the agency's organizational structure, policies and procedures. (2) knowledge of agency fiscal matters involving pay and leave. (3) Identify issues with the EEO complaint process, settlement agreement compliance. (4) Advise management concerning preparation and monitoring of EEO policies and procedures and settlement agreements.
To qualify, applicants must have one year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the next lower grade (GS-13) in the normal line of progression for the occupation in the organization. Specialized experience is defined as work that involves: (1) Document a proficient level of analytical, technical, and customer service skills. (2) Ability to independently make recommendations based on research, initiative, and sound judgment in all instances.
