Qualifications
NOTE: You must meet qualification requirements by the closing date of this announcement.
To qualify for the GS-15 level, you must have 1 year of full-time* specialized experience equivalent to at least the GS-14 level defined as interpreting Brownfields legislation and developing related policy and technical assistance for internal and external stakeholders; planning, organizing, and overseeing Brownfields programs; exercising supervisory personnel management responsibilities; and/or overseeing the goals and objectives of an office or organization in collaboration with internal and external stakeholders.

Knowledge of and experience in applying EPA policies and regulations governing federal grant programs.

Ability to participate on a wide variety of internal and external working groups, task forces, and committees.
Skill in briefing high-level decision-makers.
Skill in reporting and evaluating technical data.
Ability to provide leadership to a staff of technical and/or administrative personnel.
Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional, philanthropic, religious, spiritual, community, student, social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience.
