About the Position: You will serve as a Senior Budget Analyst in the Budget Execution Team, providing technical and administrative leadership for a team of budget analysts who are responsible for managing the Operations and Maintenance Appropriation (OMA) funding for the U.S. Army Military District of Washington.
Duties
Responsible for monitoring the execution of annual budget and funding for assigned Commands.
Participate in the development of the organization’s annual spend plans; to include annual funding program, quarterly fund allotments, targets, and limitations.
Coordinate quarterly Working and Command Program Budget Advisory Committee (PBAC's).
Develop and continuously update Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) for assigned programs.
Develop a variety of complex real time budget information reports for managers to review and recommends several courses of actions.
Requirements
- Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
- Must be able to obtain and maintain a Secret security clearance.
- You may be expected to travel up to 10% for this position.
- One year trial/probationary period may be required.

Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes planning and executing the agency's budget; assisting with developing Financial Management policies; and assisting in pulling reports for the organization within automated systems such as new Army Financial Management and Accounting System and General Fund Enterprise Business System (GFEBS).
This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service GS-12.
